Bread is one of the most basic foods that you should always have at home. It can be made in different ways: with or without yeast, with water or milk, and with wheat or rye flour. But one thing remains unchanged – every housewife wants her bread to stay soft and fresh for as long as possible. To do this, there is a bread recipe for which hard cheese and raw potatoes are added to the dough. It is said that such bread does not become stale for several days.

The recipe for bread with cheese and potatoes was shared by food blogger Dina Liashyk (dina_liashyk) on her Instagram page.

Ingredients:

  • milk - 200 ml
  • dry yeast - 6 g / raw yeast - 20 g
  • eggs - 1 pc.
  • salt - 1/2 tsp.
  • sugar - 1 tsp.
  • olive oil - 60 ml
  • raw potatoes - 1 pc.
  • hard cheese - 100 g
  • flour - 300 g
  • hard cheese for the pattern

Method of preparation:

1. Mix warm milk and yeast.

2. Add salt and sugar.

3. Peel and grate the potatoes on a coarse grater, and add to the milk.

4. Grate the hard cheese on a coarse grater and add to the mixture.

5. Add the egg and olive oil. Mix well.

6. Sift the flour and knead the dough with a kitchen spatula. Cover the dough and leave it in a warm place for 1 hour.

7. When the dough has risen in volume, knead it and transfer it to a baking dish. The mold should be greased with butter or covered with parchment.

8. Make a pattern on the bread. Put a slice of cheese in each line. Leave the bread for 30 minutes to rise again.

9. Bake at 190 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
