Bavarian cutlets: what is their peculiarity and what to add to minced meat
Cutlets are a delicious and very easy-to-prepare meat dish that can be made not only from minced meat but also from mushrooms, liver, buckwheat, and even cabbage, as well as supplemented with other fillings.
Food blogger Oksana (oksana_dorosh_rezeptu) shared a recipe for Bavarian cutlets on her Instagram page. They differ from the classic ones in that mushrooms and sauerkraut are added to the minced meat. This combination makes the cutlets very satisfying and juicy.
Ingredients:
- minced meat - 500 g
- fresh champignons - 200 g
- eggs - 1 pc.
- onion - 1 pc.
- sauerkraut - 100 g
- sour cream - 1 tbsp
- mustard - 1 tbsp
- ground breadcrumbs - 1 tbsp
- salt, spices
- flour
- oil for frying
Method of preparation:
1. Chop mushrooms and onions. Fry together, remove from heat and cool.
2. Add the fried mushrooms and onions to minced meat, along with chopped cabbage, egg, breadcrumbs, sour cream, mustard, salt and spices. Mix well.
3. Form patties from the resulting mass.
4. Roll the cutlets in flour and fry as usual.
