Basic pita bread pie: easier than pizza
Pita bread is the perfect base for a variety of simple snacks. If you make a pie, it will be a great alternative to pizza. You don't need to roll out the dough, just cut it into strips.
The idea of making a pita bread pie instead of pizza was published on the Instagram page of food blogger Olha with the nickname olya_pins.
Ingredients:
- 270 g of pita bread
- 3 eggs
- 120 ml of milk
- 250 g of boiled chicken fillet
- 4 tbsp of tomato sauce
- tomato
- sweet pepper
- 100 g of cheese
- salt and spices
Method of preparation:
1. Roll the pita bread and cut into strips.
2. Beat the eggs in a bowl and pour in the milk.
3. Add a little salt and mix.
4. Pour the egg mixture over the pita bread.
5. Mix well.
6. Chop the boiled chicken fillet.
7. Add the tomato sauce and stir.
8. Put the pita bread in the casserole dish and spread it evenly.
9. Put the fillet in the sauce on top.
10. On the fillet - vegetables.
11. Sprinkle with grated cheese.
12. Add spices.
13. Bake in a preheated 180-degree oven for 20-25 minutes.
