Famous Ukrainian TV presenter Marichka Padalko got emotional while talking to sabre fencer Olga Harlan, who won bronze at the 2024 Olympics. The 48-year-old woman got teary-eyed when she read out a fragment of correspondence with the athlete's Italian boyfriend Luigi Samele, where he said he had never doubted his beloved's abilities.

A touching moment took place during an interview with the champion for TSN. The journalist noted that she was pleasantly surprised by the man's opinion of his girlfriend and Ukrainians in general.

According to Marichka Padalko, when she saw the post in which Luigi Samele congratulated his beloved on winning the bronze medal, she immediately contacted him to find out his impressions of the victory: "He wrote: "I never doubted it. She was born for this."
