The news of the marriage came four months after Olivia Munn announced her fight against cancer. The actress had been hiding the disease for a long time, but after this year's Oscars, she decided to reveal her health.

Due to breast cancer, she had to undergo a double mastectomy (removal of both mammary glands). The surgery left her with two noticeable scars, which she covered with long hair at the Oscars.

Last year, the 43-year-old actress took a test that checks for the presence of 90 different cancer genes in the body. A thorough examination showed a negative result, but the doctor decided to play it safe by ordering additional tests, and he was right.

She called herself "lucky" because the disease was detected at a stage when surgery could still help her.

Throughout her treatment, John Malaney and their son were by her side at all times. "Without him, it would have been like climbing an iceberg. I don't think he had a single moment to himself between being an incredibly hands-on father and going to and from the hospital – taking Malcolm to the park, putting him to bed, going to Cedars-Sinai, spending time with me, coming home, putting Malcolm to bed, coming back to me. And he did all of that with pleasure," Mann said.

The couple met back in 2021, and in September Olivia Munn announced her pregnancy. Malcolm was born in November of that year.
