How to wash soft and rubber children's toys: germs will not remain a trace

Children love stuffed toys and take them with them everywhere - for walks, to the playground, to the crib. Toys quickly become dirty, and sometimes there are problems with laundry. And it's not just the fact that the coat of toys can lose its softness and disheveled. Frequent washing leads to an accumulation of mold. This will cause serious health problems.

How to clean toys made of rubber and plastic

Clean such toys should be cleaned at least once a week. Experts recommend pouring hot water into a container, adding soap and using a sponge to scrub the rubber and plastic. Then wipe with chlorhexidine, rinse the toy again and put it to dry in the fresh air.

But be careful and check for mold in the hole of the rubber toy. As soon as you notice it - the toy should be thrown out immediately.

How to wash stuffed toys

Depending on how often your child plays with the stuffed toy and how dirty it is, you should wash it once every 1-3 months.

If you decide to wash your child's favorite toy in the machine, choose a delicate mode.

It is better to buy a special bag for washing, if you do not have it, you can take a pillowcase. The temperature should not exceed 30°C. Pay attention to the correct spin setting. Optimal is up to 1000 revolutions.

In summer it is better to dry toys on the balcony or in the yard, in winter - thoroughly dry with a hair dryer.

How to wash toys by hand

Some toys require hand washing. Pour warm water into a container, add baby shampoo, laundry detergent or soap and rub the toy thoroughly with your hands.

The main thing is to get rid of the cleaning products completely, so rinse several times.

How to clean stuffed toys with an electronic mechanism

Often soft toys are built into the electronic mechanisms, and it is impossible to take them out before washing.

Such toys can be cleaned with a soapy solution with a microfiber cloth. Apply a soapy solution to the microfiber cloth and wipe the toy. Then rinse the cloth in clean water and go over the fur several times to remove soap residue.
