How to clean silver?

Salt effectively fights against the darkening of this metal. Pour hot water into any container and add ordinary table salt, stir it and put the jewellery in the saline solution for several hours. Then simply rinse the silver under running water and wipe it with a soft cloth.

A solution of baking soda and vinegar also helps to clean silver jewellery. Take a teaspoon of each of these products per litre of hot water and mix everything thoroughly. Keep the silver in this solution for 15 minutes, after which it should be rinsed under running water. Washing powder can help to cope with darkened silver. Put a glass of detergent in a bowl of hot water. Silver items should be kept in soapy water for only 5 minutes.
