How to quickly wash grease on a kitchen tile: folk methods

Tiles will shine if they are cleaned with the right products in a timely manner

The tile apron in the kitchen takes on all the main dirt from the cooking process. Therefore, you need to take special care of it. If you don't clean it for a long time, it will be much more trouble. Therefore, you need to know how to clean the tiles in the kitchen with improvised means.

OBOZREVATEL has collected several recipes. They will also help with old stains, but in this case, you will have to put more effort into the cleaning process.

Soda and vinegar

The combination of these substances can clean almost any dirt in the house. To get rid of dirt on the tiles, you need to prepare a paste of baking soda mixed with water in a 1:1 ratio, apply it to the tiles, and then spray vinegar on top. The product should remain on the stain until the substances interact and produce foam. After that, you can use the remaining soda as an abrasive to wipe off the remaining dirt and wipe the wall with a damp sponge.

Lemon

Citric acid dissolves fats well. Therefore, to clean the kitchen tiles, you can simply rub the stains with a slice of fresh lemon. Leave the juice to act for 10 minutes, and then wipe the surface with water.

You can also prepare a cleaning liquid from edible citric acid. It must be completely dissolved in sufficient water and used as a spray with a spray bottle. Fresh stains can be removed immediately, while old stains should be left to act for 10-15 minutes.

Mustard powder

Another product that acts as both a degreaser and an abrasive for cleaning. Mustard powder should be diluted with water to a mushy consistency. This substance is applied to the tiles, left for 10-15 minutes, and then the stains are cleaned with it. Rinse off the product with water.

Ammonia

An ammonia solution is prepared from 1 part of the product and 2 parts of water. It is also used with a spray bottle and left to act for 10-15 minutes. This spray requires ventilation and rinsing off after the work is done.

Some additional tips

You can use vinegar or ammonia solutions (1 part to 2 parts of water) to clean the tiles on the floor. Apply them with a spray bottle, then mop the floor as usual.

For glossy tiles, try to choose liquid and gel-like products to avoid damaging the surface.

Textured tiles, on the other hand, will require a thorough rinsing off, as small particles can remain in the pores and cavities of the material.
