How to get rid of the pungent smell of sweat on clothes: powders and bleaches won't help

As OBOZREVATEL has found out, there is an effective remedy for dealing with the persistent smell of sweat on clothes in almost every kitchen. And this is ordinary baking soda.
Soaking in a soda solution perfectly removes all extraneous odours. To prepare such a solution, you need to pour a glass of sodium bicarbonate powder into a basin of warm water and mix everything well so that it dissolves completely.
The thing needs to be soaked for several hours. It is most convenient to do this at night. After that, it will be enough to wash it in the usual way.
If you don't have time for a long soak, you can treat the area that caused the unpleasant odour differently. Mix baking soda with a little water to make a slurry. This slurry is applied to the area to be freshened and left for a few minutes. After that, wash off the soda and wash the item. The smell no longer bothers you.
