Anita Lutsenko gave up alcohol for 9 months and shared the result: online discussion
Ukrainian celebrity trainer Anita Lutsenko shared the advantages and disadvantages of giving up alcohol. She decided to stop drinking alcohol 9 months ago and has found only positive things about it.
There is often a perception in society that you need to drink to maintain a good mood in a company. Anita Lutsenko notes that this is not a problem for her, because she does not feel less cheerful without alcohol. The trainer shared this on Instagram, and in the comments, subscribers started a discussion about their own attitude to strong drinks.
"What pros/cons did I experience (personal):
- The quality of my face and body skin has improved significantly;
- no unpleasant conditions in the morning;
- no unpleasant situations or actions that you will regret;
- saving money on alcohol, especially in a restaurant (50% of the bill minus);
- saving money on Citramon;
- I think it's nice for the child not to see me with a glass of something that smells strange;
- When someone drinks next to you, you smell an unpleasant odor;
- you see how there is agitation to drink from all sides/there is definitely a cult of alcohol in society."
Anita Lutsenko noted that she did not feel uncomfortable and spent time with pleasure in the company of those who drink alcohol.
"To be honest, I don't feel any restrictions at all, that is, everything has its time. It's like with fast food - you don't eat not because you're afraid of getting fat, but because you just don't want to. I don't suffer without alcohol - I'm 100% comfortable in a company that drinks, I don't feel less cheerful or like I'm missing out on the beautiful moments of life. It 's one of the coolest decisions I've ever made," the coach said.
In the comments, some subscribers supported Lutsenko and recalled how long they had not been drinking alcohol and under what circumstances it happened:
- "I have not been drinking alcohol for over 6 years. First because of pregnancy, then breastfeeding, and then I didn't want to. I have no regrets at all. However, I have a bottle of sparkling wine from Bakhmut at home. Maybe I'll open it on Victory Day."
- "I quit smoking a year ago, I had been smoking for 20 years. I have not been drinking alcohol for about six months. I feel great, I don't want to resume these habits. I am proud of myself and have no regrets."
- "I lost count of how many years I have not drunk alcohol at all: 13 or 14. I have not felt any discomfort or disadvantage. And I don't want to drink it."
- "I've been alcohol-free for exactly 8 years, and it was the right decision in my life. Being free of addictions is incredible. Among the bonuses, I would like to note that my brain works better without alcohol and the effectiveness of my workouts is high."
- "I felt the thrill for about 2 years. But the imposition of alcohol by society is stressful."
One of the Internet users noted that when drinking alcohol, you need to feel the limit in order not to get drunk and drink what you like: "I drink. But it doesn't mean I get drunk. If I feel like it, I drink a glass of wine or champagne, if I don't feel like it, I don't drink. It's the same with coffee: if I want it, I drank it in the morning, if I want tea, I drank tea..."
"They wrote it as if you were some kind of drunk, not the sporty girl we all know," the subscriber wrote, to which Anita Lutsenko responded: "I can only imagine what changes the drunks feel when they quit, if I have such a palette."
There were also those who criticized the points mentioned by the trainer, because they are allegedly inherent in those who drink a lot of alcohol: "The states described are due to abuse, i.e. drinking alcohol (the state in the morning, actions, Citramon), not 1-2 glasses. As for me, these are extremes - either overdoing it or giving up completely. The main thing is the culture of consumption."
