A scandal erupted around the Miss USA pageant: the winners of previous years had a public quarrel

A scandal arose around a beauty contest in America

America has recently crowned Miss USA 2024, a 22-year-old Miss Michigan and army officer named Alma Cooper, but scandals have continued to erupt after the final. Against the backdrop of the pageant in America, there was talk of alleged mistreatment of the participants.

Some beauty queens even renounced their titles, citing psychological pressure. However, according to The Post, not all the winners of the pageant share their opinion.

A scandal erupted over several girls who gave up their crowns. In May, 24-year-old Noelia Voight relinquished her Miss USA title seven months after being awarded, citing mental health issues. Her decision was shared by 17-year-old Miss Teen USA UmaSophia Srivastava and another winner of the pageant.

The journalists learned that the beauties complained about bullying and harassment by the Miss USA management. Attentive readers noticed that the initial letters of each of the sentences in Voight's explanation form a single phrase - "I am silenced," which in an arbitrary translation means "I am forced to remain silent."

The rumors had to be denied by 28-year-old Miss Hawaii Savannah Hankiewicz, who has been serving as Miss USA since May.

"Now that I've been Miss USA for almost three months, I can tell you that it's all a lie. The organization is just amazing. Leila Rose, the president, has been very good to me. I'm just enjoying every second of it," Gankevich said in an interview.

She also hinted that it was the former crown holders who initiated the scandals, not the victims. In response, UmaSofia wrote a devastating post criticizing Gankevich.

"I will not tolerate anyone slandering me or Noelia. If I stand for anything, it is my values and my honesty. The assertion that Noelia and I were not victims but perpetrators of something even remotely resembling 'bullying', according to the current representative, is regrettable, but confirms that my choice to distance myself from this organization was the right one," the former Miss Teen USA wrote.

In the end, the argument ended with the representatives of the former queens assuring that they wish the new Miss USA success, but they want nothing to do with the organization.
