Israel launches air strikes on Gaza Strip

Bolivia breaks off diplomatic relations with Israel over its war with Hamas, citing "crimes against humanity." This is the second time in the last 15 years.

This is reported by The Times of Israel. It is noted that this step was taken against the backdrop of Israel's struggle against the Hamas terrorist group in the Gaza Strip after the devastating attack on October 7 on Israeli communities, which killed about 1,400 people, most of whom were civilians.

After that, Israel launched air strikes on the Gaza Strip and sent ground troops, vowing to destroy the terrorist group.

Hamas claims that more than 8,500 people were killed, but their figures cannot be verified. They also do not distinguish between civilian and terrorist victims.

It is worth noting that Bolivia severed ties with Israel in 2009 because of the next round of hostilities in Gaza, restoring them only in 2020.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported:

- On October 30, Israeli Defense Forces spokesman Daniel Hagari said that additional IDF infantry and armored and engineering units were entering Gaza.

- On the same day, footage showing a significant advance of Israeli ground forces in the Gaza Strip was posted online.

- The commander of the IDF Southern Military District, Major General Yaron Finkelman, said that Israel has a single goal, which is to defeat the militants at any cost.
