"I believe that together we will win!" Zaluzhny congratulated Kherson on the anniversary of liberation from invaders

On November 11, 2022, Ukrainian defenders entered the city

On Saturday, November 11, Kherson celebrates the anniversary of its liberation from Russian occupation. Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny congratulated the city and said he believes in a common victory.

On his official Telegram channel, Zaluzhnyi posted footage of the liberation of the right bank of the Kherson region, where local residents greet the defenders. "November 11 is the anniversary of the liberation of Kherson. The day when the Ukrainian army liberated the city from the Russian invaders," the post reads (to watch the video, scroll to the end of the news).

Zaluzhny thanked the Ukrainian military, as well as the local population who withstood the oppression of the occupation.

"I am grateful to our brave soldiers and local residents for their courage and resilience. Today, as the yellow and blue flag flies over Kherson, we continue to fight and defend our land with determination. I believe that together we will definitely win," the Commander-in-Chief said.

As a reminder, on November 11, 2022, Ukrainian defenders entered Kherson, which had been occupied since March 1 of the same year. For several days in a row, the city celebrated the escape of the Russian occupiers, and the Russian Federation said it had withdrawn 30,000 troops from Kherson.

As reported by OBOZ.UA:

- President Volodymyr Zelensky also congratulated Kherson on the anniversary of its liberation. He emphasized that Russia never comes back forever.

- ISW noted that the current operations of Ukrainian soldiers on the left bank of Kherson have become a challenge for the Russian army. It will probably be difficult for the occupiers' military command to move combat-ready reinforcements there.
