"There will be more drones": Fedorov announced new attacks on Russian ships
Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov said that the world will receive news of new shipwrecks of the Russian navy shortly. Ukraine has entered the phase of active production of naval combat drones and is also testing artificial intelligence systems that will allow it to recognize enemy vessels.
The words of the Ukrainian minister are reported by Reuters. Fedorov emphasized that there will be more drones and fewer ships for the occupiers.
"In 2023, the production of aerial drones in Ukraine increased more than 100 times compared to last year. And by the end of the year, it will increase 120-140 times," the head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation said.
As for the artificial intelligence implemented in maritime drones, it is currently being tested. The goal is to detect surface objects at a distance of several kilometers and launch drones, even if external communication is disrupted by electronic warfare.
As OBOZREVATEL reported, as a result of the attack on the temporarily occupied Sevastopol on September 13, a Russian large Minsk landing ship and the Rostov-on-Don submarine, from which the occupiers launched missiles at Ukraine, were hit at a shipyard.
On the morning of September 14, the Defense Forces hit the enemy's Vasyl Bykov patrol ships. Both vessels sustained significant damage and are unable to perform their tasks at sea.
