Occupants stormed Vovchansk and tried to push Ukrainian defenders in Orikhiv sector – General Staff

The Russian occupation army continues to attack in various parts of the frontline to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops. The enemy made over 3,500 attacks yesterday, including 91 from multiple launch rocket systems and over 500 strikes by kamikaze drones.

Putin's terrorists also carried out 58 air strikes, including 91 bombings. This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of the morning of June 24.

As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, there are dead and wounded among the civilian population. Destruction and damage to multi-storey and private houses, as well as other infrastructure facilities, were also recorded.

On June 23, Ukrainian air forces, missile forces and artillery struck 12 areas of personnel concentration, three enemy air defense facilities, one radar and one electronic warfare station. As a result, the total losses of the Russian invaders over the past day amounted to 1300 people, 12 tanks, 15 armored combat vehicles, 51 artillery systems, 27 UAVs, two missiles, 56 vehicles and 20 pieces of special equipment.

Since the beginning of the day on June 24, 62 combat engagements have already taken place. The occupants carried out 11 air strikes, dropping 19 bombs, and fired 579 times at the positions of our troops. The enemy also used 33 kamikaze drones for attacks.

The invaders continue their attempts to attack Vovchansk in the Kharkiv sector. Since the beginning of the day, there have been two combat engagements in the area of the city, the situation is under control. Over the previous day, enemy losses in the Kharkiv sector amounted to 145 people. One armored combat vehicle, an artillery system and six vehicles were destroyed. Four artillery systems and three vehicles were damaged. In addition, 36 dugouts were destroyed.

One firefight continues in the Kupyansk sector near Stelmakhivka. The situation is under control.

In the Lyman sector, fighting continues in the vicinity of Kopanky, Hrekivka, Makiivka, Torske and in the Sribliansky forest. Six attacks were repelled without success for the enemy, two combat engagements continue.

17 attacks took place in the Siversky sector. The enemy is trying to push the Defense Forces from their positions in the areas of Bilohorivka, Verkhnekamianske, Rozdolivka and Vyymka. Seven attacks have been repelled and fighting is ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the Russian invaders' assault near Ivanove was unsuccessful. One combat engagement is ongoing near Klishchiyivka.

In the Toretsk sector, two attacks were repelled in the vicinity of Pivdenne, and one battle is ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk sector, 18 attacks have taken place since the beginning of the day, nine of which were successfully repelled. Fighting continues for Novooleksandrivka, near Yevhenivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Sokol and Novoselivka Persha. According to the updated information, the enemy lost over 220 people in the Pokrovsk sector yesterday. Three tanks, two armored personnel carriers, one cannon and three vehicles were destroyed. Three tanks, two armored combat vehicles, three cannons and two vehicles were also damaged.

The aggressor continues to put pressure on our positions in the Kurakhove sector in the areas of Karlivka, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Paraskoviivka and Kostiantynivka. The situation is under control, six attacks were repelled and one firefight is ongoing.

In the Shakhtarsk sector, the occupants' attempt to approach Urozhayne was unsuccessful.

In the Orikhiv sector, the enemy failed three times in its attempts to dislodge Ukrainian defenders from their positions near Mala Tokmachka.

In other areas, the occupants did not conduct any active operations since the beginning of the day.

As a reminder, in the morning of June 24, Russian occupation forces attacked Odesa with cruise missiles. Air defense forces were engaged, but there was also a hit, which resulted in a severe fire and injured three people.

Earlier it was reported that during the day on June 23, the Russian occupation army terrorized the residents of Nikopol district with shelling. The enemy attacked the infrastructure with artillery and kamikaze drones.
