The occupants demolish houses in which people still live: Mariupol city council reveals the enemy's crimes. Photo

During the blockade, the Russians destroyed 50% of the city's high-rise buildings

The Russian invaders in the temporarily occupied Mariupol are demolishing houses where people still live. In desperation, Mariupol residents put up posters on the streets asking for help.

This was reported by the Mariupol City Council. Thus, Russians continue to demolish houses in the occupied city. At the same time, even those where people continue to live are recognized as failed.

In particular, the occupiers plan to destroy a high-rise building at 75 Kuprin Street. Residents appealed to the collaboration administration to have their apartments repaired as they do not want to leave their homes.

But the invaders decided otherwise: they cut off all communications, trying to drive people out.

In desperation, Mariupol residents put up posters with the words, "They cut off electricity and water. They refuse to repair the house. Help us", "They are demolishing the house without a commission".

"During the blockade, the Russians destroyed 50% of the city's multi-storey buildings. 52 thousand families were left homeless. During the occupation, the Russians demolished almost 460 buildings. Among them there are those completely destroyed by shelling - evidence of their war crime - and those damaged, but people still live there. Their goal is to prepare more territories for houses to be sold to Russians," Mariupol Mayor Vadym Boichenko said.

As a reminder, the occupiers in Mariupol want to open a museum of Soviet executioner Andrei Zhdanov . The fact that the governor of St. Petersburg came up with the corresponding initiative adds to the cynicism of the situation. It it was Zhdanov who organized the starvation deaths of 600,000 to 1.2 million Leningraders during the blockade in World War II.

As reported earlier, it became known that the occupiers in Mariupol are demolishing the main torture chamber and filtration point. Thus, the dismantling of the building on Metallurhiv Avenue, where the Russians tortured Ukrainians, has begun. This is how the invaders are trying to cover up the traces of their war crimes.
