Battle has been going on for 13 months: Zaluzhnyi shows how Ukrainian Armed Forces destroy elite Russian troops near Vuhledar

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi showed the work of the soldiers of the 35th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi, who are destroying Russian occupiers on the outskirts of Vuhledar. As a result of one of the operations, the soldiers managed to defeat the elite of the Russian army - the 155th Separate Marine Brigade.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted a video of the spectacular work of the Ukrainian defenders on Telegram. The battle for Vuhledar has been going on for 13 months (to watch the video, scroll to the end of the news).

"There is a strong sense of pride in the fact that it was the Marines of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who showed the Pacific Fleet their power, perseverance, resilience and courage. And, accordingly, we captured more than twenty enemy marines thanks to the effective cooperation of the 35th and 56th Brigades," said Serhiy, one of the commanders of the 35th Marine Brigade, in the story.

The Ukrainian defenders succeeded thanks to the effective interaction of artillery, infantry and other units. It is noted that in February 2023, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed more than 130 enemy tanks and infantry fighting vehicles.

Earlier, the Commander of the Tavria Operational and Strategic Group of Forces, Brigadier General Oleksandr Tarnavskyi, showed how four tanks of the Russian Marine Corps are "resting" near Vuhledar, Donetsk region, thanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"The defence forces are holding their positions near this town and preventing the enemy from approaching Avdiivka. Our artillery is working accurately, every soldier in the trenches today is performing tasks at the highest level," Tarnavsky wrote.
