Peskov's wife ridiculed for "international event"
Tatiana Navka, the 2006 Turin Ice Dancing Champion, has announced that her show, Scheherazade's Love Story, will be presented in India in October. The tour will take place from October 18 to 20 in Ahmedabad. The show will star Victoria Sinitsyna and Nikita Katsalapov, Margarita Drobyazko and Povilas Vanagas, Ivan Rigini, Egor Murashov and other athletes.
When announcing the event, the 49-year-old wife of Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov did not skimp on epithets.
"The tour of our show in India is a major cultural event of international proportions. The history and traditions of each region are intertwined in the production with modern technical solutions, special effects and top-level video projections. Each Navka Show project involves a team of world-renowned skaters, and each one of them makes the magic happen on the ice. I am glad that today Navka Show is a real international brand," Navka said.
Such pathos on the part of the titled figure skater provoked ridicule from her compatriots.
"Navka doesn't know in which country to use the state budget anymore", "So Indian state employees will be caught up?", "Have you heard that figure skating exists in India?" "The tour of our show in India is a big cultural event of international scale" - global. Intergalactic, I would say," users mock.
In December 2023, Navka presented a cynical ice show called "Evenings on a Farm" based on the work of Ukrainian writer Mykola Gogol. The show boldly used Ukrainian songs that were translated into Russian. In particular, they stole Kristina Soloviy's hit song "Hold" and the legendary song "What a Moonlit Night".
