Head of USADA in a conversation with pranksters says what will happen to those who will perform at Putin's Olympics
The athletes who will perform at the World Friendship Games will not be able to get to the Olympics. This was stated by the head of the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) Travis Tygart in a conversation with pranksters Vovan and Lexus.
The event, which was a personal initiative of Putin, was supposed to be an alternative to the 2024 Olympics. The competition was originally scheduled for September 15-29 in Moscow and Yekaterinburg, but was postponed to 2025.
"If you're going to participate in games that don't have doping controls and are not sanctioned by our country or our sports federation, you can't participate in the Olympics," Tygart said.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, Russia has sent invitations to some Ukrainian sports federations to participate in the so-called Friendship Games.
Earlier, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) criticized the Russian authorities for holding the so-called Friendship Games in September this year. The organization, headed by Thomas Bach, accused Russian representatives of politicizing sports and using athletes for propaganda purposes.
