The legendary boxer said how the fight for the absolute championship will end

Legendary American boxer Evander Holyfield (44-10-2, 29 KOs) is confident that Ukrainian heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk (21-0, 14 KOs), who holds the WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight titles, will lose to British WBC champion Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs). On September 29, Usyk and Fury signed a contract for a fight for the title of absolute world champion. According to unofficial reports, the fight may take place before the New Year or in January.

"No. He will not beat Fury! Tyson Fury has shown that he is a great fighter. He was the one who was able to make adjustments to his work, and they made him better," Holyfield said.

According to the 60-year-old American, there is only one person who can dethrone Fury. It is former two-time world champion Anthony Joshua. Evander Holyfield believes that AJ will have a better chance against the current WBC champion than against Usyk and that all of Joshua's qualities will make him the favorite in this fight.

"Joshua is taller than Usyk and they are both strong, so it will all depend on speed. I think Anthony Joshua is the perfect fighter for him [Fury] because he's the same height. When these two fight, everything becomes the same and it all comes down to who is stronger. It looks like Joshua is better but it's just a guessing game," boxingsocial quoted Holyfield as saying.

As OBOZREVATEL reported earlier, the famous British boxing trainer Dave Caldwell shared his predictions for the fight between Usyk and Fury. According to the expert, the anthropometry of the fighters will be a critical factor in the fight.

Recently, the legendary Mike Tyson voiced his prediction for the fight of the year. Iron Mike also thinks that Fury will beat Usyk.

Usyk-Fury

Fury's promoter Bob Arum said that his client would receive a 9-figure sum for the fight with the Ukrainian.

Earlier, Fury made a radically new statement about the fight with Usyk. Before that, insider Mike Coppinger said that promoters were optimistic about the chances of organizing a fight between the Ukrainian and the Briton.
