"Does conscience really allow?" Russia's OI champion boiled over "disgrace for France" at the Paralympics

Tikhonov condemned France

Four-time Olympic champion Alexander Tikhonov is outraged that the French authorities have denied entry to two Russian para-athletes to the 2024 Games. The former biathlete called Paris' decision not to allow swimmer Andrei Granitschke and table tennis player Viktoria Safonova into the country unconscionable.

Tikhonov said this in an interview with the Vprognoze website. The henchman of Vladimir Putin's dictatorial regime hypocritically called the French disgraceful for allegedly infringing on the rights of athletes with disabilities, recalling that Russians were massively excluded from the 2024 Olympics.

"What is there to say? I mean, they're French. It's not right, especially when it comes to Paralympians. It's a disgrace for France. Okay, healthy athletes were not allowed, but Paralympians! Does conscience allow the French to do this?" - Tikhonov said.

It should be noted that 88 Russian athletes are competing at the Paralympics-2024. They perform under a neutral flag, they are forbidden to mention the name of their country, and in addition, the results of representatives of the Russian Federation do not go in the medal count.
