Russian athletes will miss the junior world track cycling championships that started the day before in Luoyang, China. According to the president of the Russian Cycling Federation, Vyacheslav Yekimov, this situation was caused by problems with visas.

The federation had hoped to be able to send a team to the tournament, which ends on August 26.

"Unfortunately, we are missing the Junior World Championship. There was a problem with visas. We had some time to spare, but there was a hiccup – we were sent an expired license for the host organization, the process was delayed, and then there was a holiday in China. As a result, we didn't have time and are missing this start," Yekimov explained in an interview with MatchTV.

In the comments section, Russian fans do not hold back their emotions, commenting on the "friendship with China" that propagandists trumpet.
