"They don't like our country. They should all be tried": Russia throws a new hysteria over Valiyeva's disqualification

Tarasova condemned CAS

Famous figure skating coach Tatyana Tarasova is once again outraged by the disqualification of Kamila Valiyeva, who was caught using banned substances. The Russian woman demands that the heads of anti-doping organizations be condemned for their dislike of athletes from the aggressor country.

Tarasova said this in a patriotic attack in a comment to the metaratings.ru portal. According to her, foreign athletes are allegedly punished much less than Russians for similar violations, demonstrating bias against a country that was previously caught in the state doping system.

"Valiyeva was punished for the rest of her life. Anti-doping organizations have no justice, they should all be tried for treating athletes so differently. Someone is disqualified for this substance for only a month, while others are disqualified for four years. They do not love our country. This is an unfair attitude towards us. It is not clear how to fight this injustice, but we must fight. We need to write, shout, do anything," Tarasova said.

As a reminder, the Court of Arbitration for Sport disqualified Valiyeva for four years. In court, the Russian Federation could not even prove the existence of Kamila's grandfather, who allegedly made her a cake containing a banned substance. The athlete herself made a ridiculous excuse for doping.

As OBOZ.UA previously reported, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) has recently officially stripped the Russian figure skating team of its Beijing 2022 gold medal due to doping by Kamila Valiyeva.
