Serbia is under investigation for Russian flags and provocations at Euro 2024
UEFA has initiated disciplinary proceedings against the Serbian Football Union over the behavior of the national team's fans in the first round of Euro 2024 against England, which the Balkans lost 0:1. The Serbs managed to fight, insult the neighboring state, and fraternize Russian terrorists.
The investigation was prompted by accusations that during the match with the British, Serbian fans threw foreign objects onto the field and spread provocative slogans that were "not suitable for a sporting event."

In addition, UEFA's Ethics and Discipline Inspector will investigate the alleged discriminatory behavior of Serbian fans.
The complaint was filed by the Football Federation of Kosovo, whose independence is not recognized by Serbia. Kosovo claims that the fans of the neighboring country spread "political, chauvinistic and racist messages". It is known that during the meeting with England, Serbian fans shouted: "Kosovo is the heart of Serbia".

Also, according to UEFA rules, no other flags can be brought into the stadium except for your own country's flag. However, the Serbs brought a flag with a map showing Kosovo as part of the "older Balkan brother" and the words "We will not surrender."
In addition, the Gelsenkirchen arena was full of Russian rags, which were clearly not brought by the British.

It was also reported that before the same match with the British, German police detained seven Serbian fans for fighting with the British. One of the detainees was accused of causing dangerous bodily harm.
Earlier, the Russian flag was banned from Euro 2024. The organizers of the main fan zone of the European Football Championship in Berlin have banned Russian, Israeli and Palestinian flags. The German capital, which will host six matches of the tournament, including the final, insists that fans have no right to organize rallies at the championship venues.

But already in the first match of the tournament, its organizers failed to fulfill their duties. Already at the opening of Euro 2024, Russian flags were displayed. During the match between Germany and Scotland (5:1), some fans were allowed to hang flags of the Russian terrorist state in the arena, although its team was suspended from international tournaments because of Russia's war against Ukraine.
