Organizers of the Champions League final between Manchester City and Inter, who tried to take away the Ukrainian flag from one of the fans, explained that only the national banners of Turkey, England and Italy could be used at the game. At the same time, they reacted perfectly calmly to the symbols of many other countries, including Russia.

The fan who was forced to remove the blue and yellow flag told this in an interview with journalist Konstantin Andriyuk. The man named Yakov was born in Odessa, but moved to Israel 17 years ago. He came to the game in Istanbul between the English and Italian clubs to support City and took the flag of his native country with him.

"Some official from the Turkish federation came up and told me to take down the flag. I started asking why you can't display the flag of Ukraine when you can display the flag of Albania, Tunisia, Kazakhstan, Palestine... This is just what I saw," Yakov said.

Later, the Twitter account Buckaroo Banzai published photos of a Russian fan from Yoshkar-Ola, who was quietly photographed at the stadium of the Champions League finals and even got on the soccer field itself.
