Defending Ukraine from the Russian invaders, Denys Yashchuk, a master of sports of international class in boxing, who competed in the category of up to 52 kg, was killed. Yashchuk was a pupil of the Maxim boxing club in Netishyn, Khmelnytsky region.

His career spanned 2010-2014. During this time, he participated in matches as a member of the Ukrainian national team and the Ukrainian Atamans team.

"The brutal war that Russia has unleashed against the Ukrainian people has claimed the life of another boxing representative," Luckypanch's obituary on Instagram reads.
