Usyk speaks out about Russian aggression

Former world heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk called on Ukrainians to unite around the country and prevent Russia from destroying it. The boxer explained that he did not leave after the full-scale invasion of Russia on February 24, 2022, because everyone had to help resist the aggression of the terrorist state.

Usyk said this in an interview with the YouTube channel Kanał Sportowy. The 37-year-old Crimean resident stressed that every Ukrainian "must break, but do it" to help the country preserve its statehood and sovereignty, which dictator Vladimir Putin wants to destroy with the support of the people of the Russian Federation.

"It doesn't matter how much money you have or how much power you have. If there is evil and war in your country, you have to defend your country from the enemy. If your country needs your help, you have to help your country. If your country needs a lot of help, you have to burst, but do it, not run away from your country. Because if everyone runs away, Putin will just take our country. And then he will come here, to Europe. No, we have to defend our home as best we can," Usyk said.
