The former world champion received a portion of disappointing comments

Former world champion in three weight categories Vasyl Lomachenko received a lot of unflattering feedback from Ukrainians for his comments on plans to ban the UOC-MP. The 36-year-old boxer, who is known for his support of the Moscow-controlled church, threatened Ukraine with consequences.

"Vasya, maybe you can explain why Bulgarians, Armenians and Serbs can have their own Orthodox Church, but Ukrainians cannot?" the boxer's followers asked.

Many people send Vasyl "after the Russian ship" and wonder what kind of "consequences" Loma will organize.

"Boxers' brains don't work properly. What will happen if he gets hit in the head every day?", "Will Vasya punish us and move to the swamps?", "Vasya has already been beaten up for something that never happened, so don't ask for a chop, because it's useless", "Everything is clear from the word 'participate' alone. Has he really heard the word "participation" anywhere?!", "Well, he's stupid, he doesn't understand anything," Ukrainians write.

It should be noted that Lomachenko reacted emotionally to the adoption by the Verkhovna Rada of Bill 8371, which provides for a ban on the activities of religious organizations whose governing center is located in Russia (i.e., the Russian Orthodox Church).

The bill was supported by 265 MPs in the second reading and in general. The law comes into force 30 days after its publication.
