Russian national team striker Fedor Chalov has been criticized by former CSKA Moscow player Vladimir Ponomarev. The 1966 FIFA World Cup participant insulted the Greek PAOK player because he decided to play in Europe.
Ponomarev said this in an interview with the RB Sport portal. The USSR bronze medalist, in a patriotic rage, actually accused Chalov of betraying the country and the army club and added that after playing abroad, the 25-year-old forward would be of no interest to Russian clubs.
