"Don't we have anything to say?" Russian Federation throws a tantrum after Russia is deprived of 1st place in the medal standings of the 2014 Olympics
Famous figure skating coach Tatyana Tarasova is furious that Russia has lost its first place in the medal standings of the 2014 Olympics. This happened after the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne (CAS) rejected biathlete Yevgeny Ustyugov's appeal against the decision to take away the relay gold medal from him and the Russian national team for violating anti-doping rules.
In a comment to the propaganda outlet Sport-Express, Tarasova called the decision unfair. At the same time, she was outraged that the aggressor country, mired in doping scandals, was unable to do anything to protect athletes.
"There is a doping control after every competition. We don't take these samples ourselves. I can't understand what's going on! Do they want to drown us? It turns out they are drowning us, and we are happy to drown. Don't we have anything to say? We need to take some measures to protect our athletes. Because Russian sport cannot be based on doping! Why did they find something that didn't exist in ten years? Why on earth? I don't understand how this can be," Tarasova said.
As a reminder, after the 2014 Sochi Games, the state doping system in Russia, which was controlled by the FSB, was exposed. As a result of the investigation, Russia was stripped of 11 medals.
