The Ukrainian club Polissia wanted to buy striker Karol Chubak from the Polish club Arka Gdynia. Together with bonuses, the transfer amount was to be about a million euros.

This could have been a record for the Gdynia club and the second largest transfer in the history of the Polish Football Championship's second league after Jan Soboczynski, who was sold for 1.8 million euros.

However, the 24-year-old forward rejected the offer, not wanting to move "to Ukraine, which is torn by war," according to sport.interia.pl. However, it is possible that Karol Chubak will leave Gdynia in the transfer window that closes on September 6. It is also possible to extend the current contract with the team, which expires on June 30, 2025.

Chubaka scored 52 goals in 110 league games, becoming the top scorer in the second half of the 2022/23 season.
