A famous Russian football player was made homeless by his wife, who sued him for all the property he had acquired over 27 years

Ruslan Nigmatullin, a 50-year-old Russian football champion, has been left homeless and without money after divorcing his wife. According to Russian media, the former Russian national team goalkeeper is forced to rent an apartment in Moscow, as his ex-wife received almost all of the joint property acquired during 27 years of marriage and went abroad.

Nigmatullin offered to divide the assets, keeping only 30% for himself, but Yelena refused. Now, the court is resolving the issues of two apartments in Moscow and Miami, as well as parking spaces.

The Moscow real estate was sold for 123 million rubles (~$1.17 million), but according to Nigmatullin, he did not receive the money - his wife transferred 96 million (~$910 thousand) to her father's account and kept the rest for herself. He called these actions fraud.

The ex-football player said that he earned all the money in the family. The total value of the disputed property is estimated at 200 million rubles (~US$1.89 million).

In 2023, Ruslan Nigmatullin officially divorced his wife. They were together for about 30 years and became parents of two sons (Ruslan and Marcel).

In August, it became known that the famous athlete was dating a 22-year-old Evelina Sincha.

The girl is a student at the Moscow Ostankino Institute of Television and Radio Broadcasting. There she is studying to become a TV presenter and theater and film actress.

Last August, Nigmatullin, who was living in the United States, said he had no plans to return home. According to Ruslan, he is happy to live where his children are.
