Igor Mysyak, writer, author of the novel "Factory", died in the battles for Ukraine: he participated in the liberation of Kherson from the occupants

Another prominent Ukrainian died in fierce battles with the Russian occupiers. The poet, novelist, author of the novel "Factory" Ihor Mysiak, who died for Ukraine, gave his life.

This was reported by the publishing house "Tempora". Igor Mysyak was born on June 16, 1993, in the Lviv region.

The fighter with the call sign "Poet" studied at the history department of the Drogobych Pedagogical University. The hero was an active participant in the Revolution of Dignity. In 2014-2015, he served in the "Azov" regiment as an ambulance attendant and rescue fighter.

At the beginning of March 2022, when a large-scale war broke out, Igor Mysyak joined a unit of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Subsequently, he joined the ranks of the separate mechanized brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign. He served there for the last six months. The writer participated in the liberation of Kherson from the Russian invaders.

In peacetime Ihor Mysiak was published in the magazines "Literary Chernigov", "Bell", the anthology "Young Voices" and several almanacs. In 2022 his debut prose book "Factory" was published in the publishing house "Tempora".

• Defending Ukraine from the Russian invasion, a soldier of the 79th separate airborne assault brigade of the AFU Yaroslav Yushchuk from Khmelnitsk region died in the battles of the Donetsk region. At 25, the soldier was the commander of the anti-tank squad of the fire support platoon.
• A young serviceman of the AFU Evgeny Zinoviev from Kharkiv region died in battles with the enemy at the front. The defender gave his life for Ukraine, fighting near the fortress city of Bakhmut.
• On Sunday, May 21, a combat medic of the airborne assault company of the AFU, junior sergeant Roman Vorobyov, died in mourning in the Odessa region. He died at the age of 30 from a wound sustained at the front.
