Zelenskyy announces additional package of sanctions: companies linked to Medvedchuk are on the list

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced an additional package of sanctions. The list of restrictions includes companies associated with Russian President Viktor Medvedchuk's godfather.

The head of state announced this on Telegram. The President signed the corresponding decree.

"Another sanctions package for today. By my decree, I imposed restrictive measures on the property of Russian companies in Ukraine and on the property of Ukrainian economic entities related to them," Zelenskyy said.

According to him, these companies sometimes even controlled critical infrastructure facilities and key strategic enterprises.

"Today, we are overcoming these risks," the country's leader stressed.

He also said that sanctions have been imposed on companies associated with Medvedchuk and other sanctioned individuals. The restrictions also apply to the founders, directors, and beneficiaries of pro-Russian companies that own significant assets in Ukraine

As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, Ukraine has approved five sanctions packages against the influence of the terrorist state on our country. One of them concerns Zaporizhstal, while the others continue our course of isolating and blocking the Russian military industry.

Zelenskyy expressed the opinion that all Kremlin representatives responsible for war crimes in Ukraine will "end up badly" and will not die by their own hand. In response, Russian Deputy Security Council Chairman Dmitry Medvedev has already thrown a fit.
