"Not an interesting topic, Putin is not a leader for us": Zelenskyy responds to Russian threats to eliminate him

Ukraine sees Russia as a demotivated country with nothing to talk about

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to Moscow's threats after the attack on the Kremlin, including its "physical elimination". He noted that Russia should deal with its own problems in order to prepare society for diplomatic opportunities to end the war.

Zelenskyy said this on May 4 during a press conference with the prime ministers of the Netherlands and Belgium in The Hague. According to the head of state, Ukraine sees Russia as a demotivated country with nothing to talk about (to watch the video, scroll to the end).

"The leader of Russia is not a leader for us. He is the leader of a country that cannot be trusted. If we look at Russia, we see a demotivated country on the battlefield. This is what is important. We don't see a strong army on the battlefield, we don't see a strong society, we see various radical groups waving around something nuclear, calling for something to be done against our country. This is not an interesting topic, we will not communicate with such people about anything," Zelenskyy said in response to a question about threats of his "physical elimination".

He added that instead of threats, the Russian authorities should think about how to change the "climate" in their own country to prepare Russian society for any possibility of a diplomatic end to the war.

And Ukraine, first and foremost, should continue to de-occupy its lands and reach its own borders.

Recall that after the attack on the Kremlin, Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev began threatening to "physically elimination" the President of Ukraine. In his opinion, Moscow allegedly has "no other options left".

As reported by OBOZREVATEL:

- On the night of May 3, explosions occurred near the Kremlin. Later, Moscow accused Ukraine of an assassination attempt on Russian President Vladimir Putin.

- The State Duma of the Russian Federation regarded the UAV attack on the Kremlin as a "real pretext for war".

- The Office of the President of Ukraine denied the accusations and said that Kyiv's priority was to liberate its own territories. They suggest that Russia is preparing a large-scale terrorist attack.

- President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine did not attack Russian territory and did not attempt to assassinate Putin, but it was in Moscow's interest to blame Kyiv.

- ISW analysts believe that Russia staged the attack on the Kremlin in order to show the war as something existential and to prepare Russian society for wider mobilisation.
