New satellite images of the aftermath of the strike on the occupiers' warehouse in the Bryansk region of the Russian Federation, where ammunition for the bombing of Ukraine, including that provided by North Korea, was stored, have been leaked. These images confirmed the destruction of two buildings on the territory of the arsenal.
The photos were published by Radio Liberty on October 18. They showed the 67th arsenal of the Main Directorate of the Russian Defense Ministry in the city of Karachiv, Bryansk region.
On the night of October 9, this facility was hit by drones, and explosions and detonations were heard in the area.
According to Radio Liberty, new high-quality satellite photos "allow us to confirm the complete destruction of two buildings on the territory of the arsenal."
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine confirmed the attack, which was carried out by the Unmanned Systems Forces in cooperation with other units of the Defense Forces.
According to the General Staff, warehouses with guided bomb units and artillery shells from the DPRK were destroyed in Karachiv, 116 km from the border with Ukraine.
Much of the weaponry was stored in the open, the General Staff reported.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, on the night of October 9, explosions occurred in Karachiv near the 67th weapons depot of the Russian Defence Minisrty's Main Missile and Artillery Directorate (GRAU), which, among other things, stored ammunition from the DPRK and guided missiles. The local Ministry of Emergency Situations declared a municipal emergency "related to the explosions of explosive objects," and local authorities reported that water was cut off "due to an accident."
The Russian Ministry of Defense traditionally reported that it had allegedly prevented attempts by the "Kyiv regime" to carry out attacks "using aircraft-type UAVs."
