Quick and delicious salmon dinner: how to cook

Usually, after a hard day at work, there is no time or energy left to cook dinner. That's why it's worth having a few recipes in reserve that can be prepared in minutes and without much effort.

One such recipe was posted on Instagram by food blogger Valeriia Velihura. She explained how to prepare a full salmon dinner quickly and deliciously.

Ingredients for steak

  • Salmon steak – 2 pieces
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Lemon juice
  • Olive oil
  • Rosemary
  • Orange zest

Ingredients for mashed potatoes

  • Fresh or frozen peas – 400 g
  • Butter – 40 gr
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Milk or cream – 40-80 g

The method of preparation

1. Cut the bone out of the salmon.

2. Cut the skin on one side and wrap the free edge of the fish inside.

3. Put the edge of the fish with the skin on top and cover with the cut skin. Secure the resulting roll with culinary thread.

4. Add salt, pepper, lemon juice, oil, rosemary, and orange zest. Let marinate for 15 minutes.

5. Grill at 200 degrees for 5-7 minutes (the temperature inside the fish should be 51-54 degrees).

6. Prepare the puree. Pour hot water over fresh or defrosted peas to cover them.

7. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat to medium, and cook until soft, 5-7 minutes.

8. Drain almost all the water, add butter, spices, hot milk, or cream, and blend.

9. For a more delicate texture, you can also puree through a sieve.

10. Put the steak on the mashed potatoes and serve.
