However, experts have recommended another storage place, which, according to them, will not only ensure the quality and freshness of chocolate but also improve its taste, OBOZ.UA writes.

So, to keep your chocolate rich in flavor and smooth in texture, store it in a cool, dark place, not in the refrigerator. The optimal temperature for this is from 18 to 21 degrees Celsius.

This temperature prevents it from melting, allowing it to bring out its best flavor.

However, at the same time, you should be careful not to keep the chocolate near any heat sources – this can quickly lead to damage to the bar. Therefore, protect your chocolate from heat sources and strong odors to preserve its quality.

Excessive heat can cause the chocolate to melt or form a white, powdery surface known as a coating, while strong odors can penetrate the chocolate, altering its delicate flavor profile.

Once you open a bar of chocolate, experts recommend keeping it fresh by wrapping it in foil or putting it back in its original packaging if it can be resealed.

This prevents exposure to air and moisture, which can degrade its taste and texture over time, ensuring that each subsequent piece is as tasty as the first.
