Laurent Muzellec, professor and dean of the business school at the Irish College, assures that artificial intelligence deprives students of skills. He noted that 99.9% of students use chatbots to write their essays and term papers. According to him, modern technology reduces qualifications and demotivates students.

The educator is devastated that undergraduates are increasingly using machine learning models in their academic papers. According to him, this makes students more careless in their writing. Muzellec spoke about this in an interview with The Telegraph.

"You literally don't need to know anything to use this technology. Previous studies of artificial intelligence show that if students use it only to take a question asked by a teacher, enter it into a program, and then write an answer, students lose motivation to learn," the professor notes.

He adds that the use of AI poses a huge threat to the ability to learn and improve skills.

Instead, Matt Candy, head of generative AI at IBM Consulting, assures that graduates in the humanities can be in demand in the tech labor market. He says that AI will free up more opportunities for creative thought processes. According to him, the speed at which people will be able to come up with ideas, test them, and create something will accelerate significantly.
