Ukrainians can receive almost UAH 1000 pension supplement: who can count on it
Ukrainians can receive a fairly substantial pension supplement of UAH 837. However, not everyone - only those who meet certain conditions. For example, those over 80 years old.
This provision is stipulated by the Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 261, Na Pensii reports. It is noted that other conditions stipulate that a pensioner who claims the allowance must also live alone. And in addition:
- need constant care for health reasons - and this must be medically confirmed;
- receive an old-age pension.
It is emphasized that those who meet these criteria may be denied the extra allowance. Moreover, on legal grounds, since "Ukrainians receiving a disability pension cannot apply for such an allowance."
What documents do you need to collect
To receive the supplement, you need to submit an application and attach a number of documents to it. In particular
- a conclusion of the medical commission on the need for constant care
- passport
- TIN;
- a statement from the Pension Fund certifying that the pensioner is not currently receiving a pension care supplement.
The amount of the supplement may increase
If you count in "real" money, the amount of the supplement is not constant, as it is 40% of the subsistence minimum for people with disabilities. Currently, this minimum is UAH 2,093, and 40% of this amount is exactly UAH 837.
At the same time, according to the State Budget adopted by the Verkhovna Rada, in 2024 the subsistence minimum for people with disabilities should increase to UAH 2,361. The allowance will increase accordingly - up to UAH 944.
As reported by OBOZ.UA, meanwhile, some Ukrainians are facing the deprivation of pension payments. Thus, in the absence of card transactions on a pension account for 180 days (6 months), accruals will be suspended. They will be resumed only after passing the appropriate identification.
