"There is a queue behind him": The media learned whether Rebrov can leave the national team of Ukraine

Serhii Rebrov has been working with the Ukrainian national team for a year

Italian specialist Andrea Maldera could replace Serhii Rebrov as head coach of the Ukrainian national football team after the team's unsuccessful performance at the Euro 2024 championship. Such talks have allegedly begun to appear in the leadership of the national association.

Famous journalist Ihor Burbas said this on his YouTube channel BurBuzz, citing his sources. According to him, if Rebrov is fired now, the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) will have to pay a penalty only for the time until the end of the year, and not for the entire estimated contract period.

"There are thoughts on the sidelines to bring Malder back. Perhaps he could become the head coach of the national team. I don't want to be Rebrov's lawyer, but a year ago he made a strong move. When he left a solid contract in the Emirates to work for less money for the national team. Now there is a queue of clubs from the UAE and Saudi Arabia after him. He will not be left without a job. Whether our national team will have the best coach is an open question for me," Burbas said.

We would like to remind you that the Ukrainian national team finished playing at Euro 2024 after the group stage. At the same time, our team became the first in history to take the last place in the group, scoring four points.
