Quiche is a very simple dish that is perfect for a hearty lunch. All you need to do is prepare a crispy dough and a juicy chicken and mushroom filling. This combination is sure to please everyone.
Food blogger Kateryna with the nickname katherine.khoma shared how to make a hearty chicken quiche for lunch on Instgaram. It's also very budget-friendly.
Ingredients for the dough:
- butter - 100 g
- wheat flour - 200 g
- eggs - 1 pc
- a pinch of salt
Ingredients for the filling:
- hard cheese - 100 g
- thigh meat - 500-550 g
- eggs - 1 pc.
- 33% cream - 250 ml
- smoked bacon - 120 g
- salt to your taste
- cherry tomatoes
Method of preparation:
1. Cut the cold butter into cubes and grind it with flour.
2. Then add egg and salt and knead the dough.
3. Wrap or place in an airtight container and leave in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
4. For the filling, fry the bacon in a well-heated pan. Remove it and fry the chopped chicken in the same pan over low heat.
5. Roll out the dough and put it into the mold.
6. Put foil on top of the dough and add something (beans are fine) to prevent the dough from rising.
7. Bake at 180 degrees for 15 minutes.
8. While the dough is cooking, grate the cheese. You can leave half of the cheese to sprinkle on top of the quiche if you wish.
9. Combine egg, cheese, and cream for the sauce.
10. Fill the pie with chicken and bacon, pour the sauce over and top with tomato slices.
11. Bake at 180degrees for 35 minutes (it may take a little longer, depending on the oven; the filling should "rise" and become firm, and the dough should be golden brown).
