Niagara Falls illuminated with the national colors of Ukraine
Niagara Falls, which separates the US state of New York from the Canadian province of Ontario, was illuminated in blue and yellow. The action at one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world was aimed at supporting Ukraine in its fight against the Russian occupiers.
It was organized by the Ukrainian Canadian Congress and the Embassy of Ukraine in Canada. The photo was posted on the organization's Facebook page (scroll to the bottom of the page to see the photo).
The waterfall was illuminated on the occasion of Ukraine's Independence Day, although the photos appeared online only a few days ago. The Ukrainian diaspora and foreign tourists were able to enjoy the beautiful scenery near the waterfall in the colors of the Ukrainian national flag.
"Celebrating the 31st anniversary of Ukraine's independence on August 24 at Niagara Falls (Canada) with blue and yellow lighting over the falls. Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes! Glory to Ukraine and its heroes and heroines! Ukraine will never die!" the post reads.
The Ukrainians approached Niagara with blue and yellow flags and took a picture together in front of the waterfall.
As OBOZREVATEL previously reported, on August 24, on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine, the city's popular singing fountains "performed" the famous song "Oh, there is a red viburnum in the meadow" by Andriy Khlyvnyuk.
