How to make cheese horses so that they are tasty and safe was explained on the YouTube channel of NTC Television and Radio Company. Honored Artist of Ukraine Maria Petriv shared all the secrets.
The main ingredient of the dish is, of course, cottage cheese. It is made from fresh milk and a special starter made from the stomach of a several-week-old calf. This cheese acquires the consistency of plasticine in hot water, making it very easy to work with.
Next, you should form the front legs and head of the future horse from the smooth structure of the warm cheese. After that, put the horse in very salty water, which serves as a preservative. And then you can decorate the cheese horses as you wish. Most often, cheese horses are braided with additional cheese threads, which add beauty to the finished product.
Cheese horses can be stored for several months without any harm to health. However, it is unlikely that such tasty and beautiful products will stay at home for a long time.
