Famous chef Volodymyr Yaroslavskyi shared how to cook duck with apples and honey on Instagram. This dish will appeal even to those who prefer pork.

Ingredients

  • duck - about 2 kg
  • honey - 80-90 g
  • freen apples - 6-7 pcs
  • potatoes - 7 pcs
  • seasoning for meat

Method of preparation

1. Rinse the duck, dry it with paper towels, remove the feathers, cut off the third phalanx of the wing, and rub with spices.

2. Peel the apples and cut them into 4-6 pieces.

3. Mix honey with mustard and apples,and stuff the duck. Use the rest of the honey to brush the top of the duck. Leave to marinate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.

4. Put the potatoes on the bottom of the casserole dish.

5. Put the duck and the remaining apples on top and pour the marinade that has drained from the duck over. You can add 70 g of wine or water. Cover with parchment and a lid.

6. Bake at 180 degrees for 1 hour, then reduce the temperature to 120 degrees and bake for another 3 hours.

7. Open the foil, pour the juice over the duck and raise the temperature to 200-220 degrees to make the meat golden brown.
