Pechevisty became "two-hundredth"

On the night of May 25-26, the highest-ranking Russian officer since 2016 was killed in Syria. He was Colonel Oleg Pechevisty of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces.

The war criminal was 49 years old. His death is confirmed by obituaries in Internet communities in Podporozhye, Leningrad region, the city where the Russian colonel was born. Officially, the military departments of the aggressor country did not comment on the news (as of the morning of May 29).

According to one version, Pechevisty was fatally wounded when Syrian rebels launched artillery strikes against a headquarters in Latakia province. According to another version, he became "bicentennial" due to a successful raid by a group of rebels.

It is known that Oleg Viktorovich Pechevisty (born 1973) arrived to Syria only at the end of December 2022. He was born in Podporozhye, graduated from the Higher Command School in Moscow, then worked as a head of department of the Ryazan Guards Higher Airborne School. He also fought in Chechnya and Georgia.
