Russians once again complained about the attack of unknown drones in the Russian capital Moscow on the night of Sunday, July 30. One of them crashed into the Moscow City business center.

There was an explosion and smoke was billowing from one of the towers. Windows also flew out. The Russians published these images online (to see photos and videos, scroll to the end of the page).

The moment of the explosion was caught on video.

Russian media wrote, citing emergency services, that Russian air defense in the Moscow region allegedly repelled drone attacks on the capital.

"The sound occurred in the 50-story building of the IQ quarter in the center of Moscow, the windows were smashed," Russian media also reported.

Many law enforcers arrived on the scene and people were evacuated from the damaged tower. Moscow Mayor Sobyanin was quick to say that the UAVs that attacked the Russian capital were allegedly Ukrainian. Moscow authorities said that traffic on Testovskaya Street in the Moscow City neighborhood, where drones damaged facades on two office towers, was blocked.

Russia's Defense Ministry has already managed to blame Ukraine for the UAV attack on Moscow. The terrorist agency said that one UAV was destroyed in the air by air defense assets over the territory of the Odintsovo district of the Moscow region. Two more drones were allegedly suppressed by electronic warfare equipment and, having lost control, crashed on the territory of the Moscow City complex of non-residential buildings.

A temporary restriction was imposed on the stay of any aircraft in the Moscow air zone. The capital's Vnukovo airport was closed for departures and arrivals, flights were diverted to other airports.

Residents of Odintsovo, Moscow Region, also reported at least three explosions that nearly blew out their windows.

The tower that was attacked by a drone in Moscow City houses three Russian ministries at once: the Ministry of Economic Development, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Communications.

Eyewitnesses published online footage of documentation of the Russian Ministry of Communications, which was blown away of the office by a blast wave.
