It's a hot time for gardeners and vegetable growers. Nourishing the soil, sowing, planting seedlings, fertilizing, picking, pruning - the list of spring work on the beds is inexhaustible.
Naturally, during the garden work gets dirty hands and, unfortunately, the usual soap does not always cope with the stains from grass and soil. Universal advice is to use gloves, but if you happen to be without gloves, OBOZREVATEL offers practical tips to help wash your hands after gardening.
Method 1: Hydrogen peroxide
Pour 0.5 liters of water into a small container and add 1 teaspoon of hydrogen peroxide. You can also add 3-4 drops of ammonia alcohol. This is a very effective remedy that will instantly clean the skin.
Method 2: Citric acid
Citric acid can effectively clean and disinfect your hands after gardening. Mix citric acid and water to make a paste-like mixture. Apply it to the palms of your hands, rub well into the dirtiest areas, and after a few minutes, rinse with lukewarm water.
Method 3: Aspirin tablet
A drugstore remedy, such as an aspirin tablet or an ampoule of salicylic acid, can help get rid of the dirt on your hands. Aspirin should be crushed to a powder, diluted with water and rubbed into the skin of the hands. After 2-3 minutes, the palms should be thoroughly washed with detergent.
Method 4: Green berries
If it's summer outside and the first fruits are starting to ripen, you can use them to quickly clean your hands of dirt. Green currants, grapes or strawberries are suitable. Note that the juice of ripe currants or strawberries will leave new stains on the skin, so experiment only with green berries. Rub the berry juice into your palms, wait a few minutes, and then wash your hands with soap and water. Experienced gardeners say that even a green tomato will do.
Method 5: Sorrel
Alkalic acid has bleaching properties, so you can wipe your hands with it after gardening.
By the way, dermatologists have explained if antiseptics are really useful.
Previously OBOZREVATEL told that some plants, such as marigold or lavender, can repel mosquitoes. Calendula will help in the fight against Colorado potato beetles.
