Zelenskyy: We are preparing our soldiers and are looking forward to the delivery of weapons promised by our partners

On Thursday, April 13, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a special format of work with the country's defence sector leaders - a military cabinet. During the event, they discussed the management of the front line and the active actions of our army, as well as the defence of the state against Russian terror.

The Head of State spoke about this in his traditional address to Ukrainians. He stressed that the conversation with the leaders was meaningful (to watch the video, scroll to the end of the news).

"And our actions will be powerful. We are preparing the soldiers. We are looking forward to the delivery of weapons promised by our partners. And we are doing our best to bring the victory closer. The spirit of unity to the maximum. We are maximising our efficiency. Preparation is also at its maximum," the President assured.

The Head of State also informed that the Day of Workers of the Defence Industry of Ukraine was celebrated in the Mariinsky Palace.

"It's quite unfair that Ukraine has never had such a special day to honour the work of all those who create Ukrainian weapons, Ukrainian shells, Ukrainian equipment. Those who create our missiles, which proved to be so vivid in the Black Sea a year ago, on April 13, when the sea route of the Russian Black Sea flagship stopped," the Head of State said, adding that our entire state and society have much to be grateful for to the professionals who protect and develop our defence industry.

The third important topic of the day was European integration.

"I held a meeting with government officials and representatives of the Verkhovna Rada to discuss some of our steps towards the European Union, legislative steps, and the implementation of the adopted changes. The goal of our country is absolutely achievable. Ukraine will be integrated with all the institutions and practices of the European Union and will become a full member. We are fully prepared," Zelenskyy assured.

He also presented 349 servicemen with state awards. Among them are 45 servicemen of the Air Force, 152 from the Air Assault Forces, and 152 from the Land Forces.

"Today, I would like to particularly note our fighters who are fighting in the Donetsk region as part of General Tarnavsky's Tavria operational and strategic grouping. In particular, the marines of the 35th Separate Brigade and the artillerymen of the 55th Separate Brigade. As always, you guys are effective!" - said the President.

- the day before, Zelenskyy spoke about financial support from allied countries and the restoration of our country after the war. He stressed that there would be no ruins in Ukraine;

- The president also submitted to the Verkhovna Rada a bill to terminate the agreement with Belarus on the mutual protection of state secrets. Draft law No. 0197 has already been registered on the parliament's website.
