Parchment paper is our assistant in cooking delicacies because it prevents the dough from sticking to the baking sheet. But often, housewives forget to buy it, and when the dish is ready to go into the oven, there is no time to run to the store.

However, there is no need to worry; there are many options for replacing parchment. You just need to follow a few rules to make sure your dish is a success.

For example, foil is ideal for baking. For flour products, grease it generously with oil, and for fish and meat, a dry surface is sufficient.

Place a sheet of foil on a baking sheet with the matte side down, and pour the dough on the shiny side so it won't stick or burn.

If you want to surprise your family or friends with an interesting form of baking, foil is perfect for this. All you have to do is cut several sheets and make the shape you want out of them. The material will hold well and won't tear.

Parchment can also be replaced with office or drawing paper, which should be oiled on both sides. Even the paper bags used to sell baked goods in supermarkets will do.

If you have a silicone mat, don't be afraid to use it; it won't melt in the oven.

But it may also happen that you don't have these things in your kitchen. Then grease a baking sheet well with oil or fat and cover everything with semolina or breadcrumbs. The mixture will not stick to the dough, and the pastries will not burn.
